Jason Bauer

On Ice Instructor

Jason Bauer, who was born in Winnipeg, spent his entire minor hockey career playing throughout Winnipeg.

Jason has always had a passion for coaching. As a result he has been coaching for the past 14 years in Winnipeg at the AA; Junior B, AAA and High School level Jason has recently completed the Hockey Canada High Performance-1 (Advanced) coaching certification program. Jason is a regular volunteer evaluator and bench coach with Hockey Manitoba at the Program of Excellence (POE) U17, U16 and Director’s Cup evaluation programs. Jason spent the last 4 years coaching at the AAA level and is currently the Head Coach of the Bantam-I Winnipeg Sharks.

Over the years Jason has worked with many athletes and saw them move onto to promising careers in the MJHL, MMJHL, WHL, U.S. College and the NHL. Jason is currently one of the lead instructors for the Max Hockey School where he works with elite players from age 9 through 20. With his Degree in Education, Jason has used his knowledge in teaching and applied it to the game of hockey.

Prior to 2009, Jason was part of the coaching staff in 2005 who won the John Reid Memorial being one of the last Winnipeg Bantam AAA teams to win this prestigious tournament.
